United or divided?

Curiosity kills the cat or so we have been taught? After all, most questions have no answer and people are not overly fond of looking stupid. There was a thought "what was the driving force of life, was it selflessness or selfishness?” Now as biology student (I do note that we have referred to our self as physicist but well I really cannot say anything smart that will get me out of this, hence for this article you can well just well call me dynamic) we are not overly fond of what is called reasoning, biology is not as much of science as it is rather an art but then again it is just one of the many interpretation of the subject, as on the whole whole everything is abstract it is for us to decide how we perceive it, if percipience was not so important you can kiss the quantum mechanics and theory of relativity good bye. Now let’s get to something that has actual truck with the title of this article. Suppose there are two group of species, one full of selfish individual and another full of selfless individuals, as it will come out some of the selfless individual will be ever ready to give up their life for the larger good of species, the selfish ones concentrating only on individual good will be wiped out sooner or later as per Gause's principal of exclusion, and the selfless population will flourish, but the question is for how long? Now the catch is, what is to stop the mutation? Sooner by mutation there will be certain selfish species as well, they will have certainly an upper hand over selfless ones, they will not take the risks and thus will prosper and reproduce then again the population will be filled by just selfish individuals, so we have reached right where we have started, there is no answer or so it seems so i can now became a pseudo scientist and talk thrash about we can never know absolute truth, even if we get into some reasoning about existence of universe, the chain will break or if chain is complete then we will be trapped in vicious circle but truth is one cannot make generalization on such a small instance. But again science has outsmarted us,there is no life lesson here, you can be whatever you like, selfish or selfless, this is no movie, just be smart for only one rule in evolution is absolute "Survival of Fittest".
